BLOG ACTION DAY 2009 : Change Your Lighting to LED Lamp [Updated]

Hi, I'm Hiroki Shimamoto, a member of this community. I write an article for the BLOG ACTION DAY 2009 below.

As you know, the Prime Minister, Yukio Hatoyama said that Japan will target a 25 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 from 1990 levels.

What can we do today for the goal?
We suggest that you should change your lighting to LED ones!
There are 5 reasons that it's good time to change lighting to LED:

1. The principal consumer electronics makers made entries into LED lighting market, so you have many choice today.
2. Until 2008 they were periods of improving efficiency in LED emitter. The year 2009 is the first year of lighting for practical use. Some LEDs now have high color rendering properties.
3. The high efficient lighting will reduce greenhouse gas and is also easy on your purse. 
4. It will enhance the efficiency of the air conditioner because LED produce less heat.
5. Your action will contribute to the semiconductor and the lighting field.
